The Art of Partying

Now, well into the fourth week of college, everyone is starting to get stressed, Tempers are flying and its but time until its that "Time of The Month" for all the females on my floor, and by then who knows whats going to happen. In the past week I've shed my floaties, jumped in the deep in, and found out that having to take care of drunk people is not for the faint at heart. Now I am no Adam Sandler, Channing Tatum, Chris Hemsworth, or Chris Pine, but when you're at a party, and everyone is a couple drinks in, instantly you become this sex god, and practically ever lady in the place is going after you. This is a little exaggerated, but it serves to prove a point of that if I wanted to I could let loose and not care so much about my image, but all that is ruined when you have to be "In charge." Now what does it mean to be in charge? Well first off you are not the designated drinker, so having a good night and letting go of all cares can be thrown out the window. No my friend, being in charge is like being the DD, designated driver for you uneducated folk, and you are responsible for everyone in you group and making sure that they do not 1. Engage in any activities that they wouldn't do sober, i.e. erotic dancing, making out with the guy you just met, stripping in the middle of the room, and my favorite of all making sure they don't get Knocked Up! 2. You must sure that everyone in your group makes it back to their dorm or apartment safely, and normally this will entail you calling and paying for a cab! 3. You really don't get to hang up the worries of yesterday and let loose, as you are everyone's safety! Now I would go into saying that I'm complaining that this is always how it is, but with the three parties that me and my hall mates have attended so far, two out of the three nights I was "In Charge" and had to deal with... I cant explain it in words. I hope that when this weekend rolls around, maybe they will become less of a, dare I say, light weight and learn to handle their liquor. Who knows that the weekend will bring, but I pray that this time i will be the one having fun! Until next week my friends, Stay Frosty! -JB
